SLOVENIAN - EGYPTIAN HERITAGE SCIENCE PLATFORM
About
Welcome to the Slovenian-Egyptian Heritage Science, which aims to bring together Slovenian and Egyptian heritage scientists and scholars from diverse backgrounds through a dynamic exchange of knowledge and experience. Slovenia and Egypt are particularly rich in cultural heritage (CH), creative talents and enormous tourism potential. Both countries reaffirm their commitment to deepening their cultural, political, economic and social relations on the basis of their close co-operation and strategic partnership that has developed over the past decades and within the Euro-Mediterranean and Euro-African scales. Heritage Science collaboration between Slovenia and Egypt can connect and stabilise the communities in both countries beyond national borders. Heritage science is a rapidly developing field that was only established in 2006. Its highly interdisciplinary approach to studies of heritage involving the humanities, social sciences, natural sciences and engineering, requires an inherently collaborative approach that engages different stakeholders and provides a suitable framework for the proposed platform.
Vision
To become a driving force for long-term bilateral cooperation between Slovenia and Egypt in the domain of heritage science, supported by E-RIHS.Si, with environmental, economic and socio-cultural sustainability aspects at the centre of mutual research, innovation and impact.
Objectives
- to provide a forum for the exchange of valuable knowledge and ideas for joint research projects and activities.
- To create networking opportunities that will lay the foundation for future joint initiatives in co-operation between these two nations.
- to organise annual colloquia to transform the ideas cultivated in the joint discussions into a concrete action plan that promotes sustainable cooperation and fosters a deeper appreciation of the cultural ties between Slovenia and Egypt.
Join us on this exciting journey as we explore shared heritage and put dialogue into action for the benefit of cultural preservation and appreciation.
